The mission of the Kentucky Public Human Resources Association (KPHRA) is to advance the field of human resources by fostering collaboration, promoting excellence, and championing ethical practices within the public sector. Committed to serving our diverse community of HR professionals, we strive to provide innovative resources, meaningful networking opportunities, and continuous education that empowers our members to navigate the dynamic landscape of public sector human resources. Through advocacy, knowledgesharing, and a steadfast dedication to professional growth, KPHRA aims to elevate the impact and effectiveness of human resources professionals in Kentucky, ultimately contributing to the overall success and well-being of our public organizations and the communities they serve.
KPHRA represents members from more than 75 organizations. Current members include human resource directors, human resources staff, and administrative staff affiliated with city and county governments, independent boards and commissions, area development districts and agencies of state government, as well as instructors and students in public administration and related fields.
KPHRA holds two conferences per year: a spring conference in the middle of May and a fall conference in October or November. The spring conference is two and a half days, beginning on Wednesday morning and wrapping up by noon on Friday. The fall conference is a one-day event. The anticipated attendance for a spring conference is approximately 60 individuals, and about 50 for the fall conference.KPHRA members also have access to an often-used member listserv for continuous networking and knowledge sharing, including business partner referrals.
